He is a counselor to high level corporate executives and spokespersons in various fields including oil, gas, energy, education, health care, airline, banking, chemical, legal, retail, restaurant, technology and law enforcement, to name a few. His credentials are unmatched in the earned media domain as well as the difficult field of perception management.

Rick has extensive experience working for public entities such as Dallas Water Utilities and the North Texas Municipal Water district during our region’s long-term drought and the accompanying water restrictions for residents. He also is the lead “coach” for our clients seeking media or presentation (speaker) training. Rick is particularly attentive in situations that require advanced media interview skills and sensitive or key presentations such as preparation for shareholder or analyst meetings.

Rick is a superstar in client relations. Our clients describe him as a man who is polite, thoughtful, never-gives-up-until-the-job-is-done, tireless and someone who is an effective, ethical communicator. Clients offer continuing praise for his effectiveness and response time; the time and the date don’t matter to Rick because he is available to clients 24/7.

Before joining The LeMaster Group, Mr. Ericson was an award winning broadcast journalist in the Dallas/Fort Worth market with 28 years media experience. Rick spent 3½ years as assignments editor at KDFW TV Fox 4 News, and 17 years at KRLD News Radio where he served as a reporter and later as news director. During that time, he produced the Dallas Cowboys Radio broadcasts for 10 seasons. Rick was an on-site producer for KDFW TV’s coverage of the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995. As news director of KRLD News Radio in 1993, he played a dominant role in the station’s extensive coverage of the David Koresh/Branch Davidian standoff near Waco, Texas.

Rick is an avid outdoorsman and advocate. He also enjoys cooking, travel, and he especially enjoys quick getaways to East Texas.
